Highlights from the Community Council Meeting July 2025

  • Condolences were sent to the family and friends of Cllr David Walker who sadly passed away on 14th June. Cllr Walker had served on the council and for his community for over 10 years.

  • The council approved some final works at the Clock Tower to improve the safety issues on the pavement..

  • It is hoped that the final works at the pump track will be completed in the next couple of weeks, ready for an official opening.

  • It was approved to offer financial support of £15,000 to Penyffordd War Memorial for the urgent roof repairs.

  • The council have reviewed the maintenance contract of their CCTV and have appointed RN Electrical & Security.

  • The council has two Councillor vacancies, please see the noticeboard, website or facebook for details.

  • Community Drop In Events

    o   Saturday 26th July, 10.30am, Jemoleys

  • We still have available spaces for The Red Cross free first aid and defibrillator training session on the 31st July.

  • The council will be nominating Miss Boleyn, Youth Representative for the FLVC Young Volunteer Award.
